Read MoreGallia County Farm Bureau has made a donation to assist Kentucky farmers impacted by a deadly December 2021 tornado.
In December, the Columbiana County Farm Bureau challenged each county Farm Bureau to donate $500 to the relief fund to help Kentucky farmers. They had seen mass devastation and the need to help those affected was desired. The thought behind the challenge was to raise $50,000 from the county Farm Bureaus and Ohio Farm Bureau to send down to the relief fund.
Many efforts were happening to gather materials and send truckloads down to help, but a concern was making sure those materials were used. Money could always be used and could be diverted into areas of the most need. Gallia County Farm Bureau board of trustees voted to donate $500 to the fund.
