Richland County Farm Bureau celebrated agriculture, local farmers and its rural community on March 25, during National Ag Week, with its Farmers Share Breakfast.
With tremendous volunteers and partners like FFA chapters and the county Soil and Water Conservation District, around 375 people enjoyed a hearty breakfast. Donations collected from the breakfast will go to area food banks in honor of the FFA chapters who helped during the event. There was a lot of community engagement and discussion, which made for a great morning.
Agriculture provides almost everything we eat, use and wear on a daily basis, but many people don’t think about that. This event provided an opportunity for the community to come together, talk with local farmers. Ag Week is about recognizing the contribution of agriculture in our everyday lives.
