Athens 11th Annual Agriculture Awareness Day Sept.13
The Athens County Farm Bureau is proud to announce the 11th Annual Agriculture Awareness Day Sept. 13, 2011 at the Athens County Fairgrounds. Start time is set for 10: a.m. ending at 2: p.m.
This field day will feature many stations including farm animals, soil & water activities, horse-shoeing, and wildlife (Yes, the ever popular FISH GUYS from ODNR!!) as well as hands-on activities such as horticulture, butter making and more.
This program is available to all fourth grade level students in Athens County. In addition, stations will be geared toward proficiency learning and provide an excellent opportunity for children to gain knowledge of agriculture and the environment. This event is guaranteed to be fun, entertaining and educational.
