Farm Bureau Holds Ag Day at the Fair Grounds
The Athens County Farm Bureau recently held it's Ag Day at the Fair Grounds. This year they had over 600 4th grade students from Athens County. This event is free to the students. There is no cost involved. The Farm Bureau does however as for a donation of one canned food item to donate to the local food pantry.
This year there was 500lbs of food collected to donate to the food pantry.
Students from local FFA classes were on hand to help be presenters and act as guides for the students.
Lunch was served to all of the volunteers and presenters of the Ag Day with donations from Larry's Dawg House and Sandy Sanders.
