Athens County Farm Bureau gives donation to Athens County Dog Shelter

The Athens County Farm Bureau recently made a donation to the Athens County Dog Shelter.  The board members felt that it was important to give to an organization that gives so much love to these animals.  The shelter does a wonderful job taking care of these animals and tries to get them adopted out into loving families.  They also offer a spay and neuter program....

David retired from the Ohio Division of Wildlife as a fisheries supervisor for 19 southeast counties in 2006. Farm Bureau Holds Ag Day at the Fair Grounds

The Athens County Farm Bureau recently held it's Ag Day at the Fair Grounds.  This year they had over 600 4th grade students from Athens County. This event is free to the students.  There is no cost involved.  The Farm Bureau does however as for a donation of one canned food item to donate to the local food pantry.   This year there was 500lbs of food collected to donate to the food pantry. Annual Meeting Date Set

The Athens County Farm Bureau has set the date for its upcoming Annual Meeting Sept. 23 at 2 p.m.  This meeting will be held at the First Chirstian Church, 24 W.
