Farm Safety Day Camp May 14

On May 14, 2014 the Auglaize County Farm Bureau hosted a Safety Day Camp (SDC) for 134 Minster and New Bremen 5th graders. Stations will include ATV, Seatbelt, Lawn, Animal, Water, Chemical, and Gun Safety. The students spent the day learning YOU CAN NEVER BE TOO SAFE! The Mercer, Auglaize and Van Wert County Farm Bureaus hosted a CAUV Update meeting April 10 at the St. Marys High School Auditorium. Guest speakers included Leah Curtis, Director of Ag. Law at the Ohio Farm Bureau, and Dick Hoffman an appraiser. These counties are up for CAUV re-evaluation next fall so members were encourage to attend. We are in the early stages of a great recycling opportunity! Auglaize, Mercer, Logan and Shelby County Farm Bureau are partnering with several groups on a farm recycling project. Gather your bale wrap, silage plastic, twine and take it to county specific locations to be recycled.
