Food Preservation Workshops

The Ohio State University Extension offices of Noble County and Monroe County are offering food preservation workshops.

Food preservation has made a comeback!  Learn how to safely and easily can, freeze, and dry foods at home for year-round goodness!

Canning Basics: This free class will provide a basic overview of home canning.  Handouts provided.  All attendees will be entered to win a door prize.

  • Monroe County Extension Office, 101 North Main St, Room 17, Woodsfield.

July 16, 3 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.

  • Southeast Region Office, 16714 Wolf Run Rd (SR 215), Belle Valley.

July 22, 3 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Pressure Canning:  Class provides an in-depth look at pressure canning.  Handouts will be provided and methods demonstrated.  Cost to attend is $10 per person.

Aug. 6, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

  •  Southeast Region Office, 16714 Wolf Run Rd (SR 215), Belle Valley.

Aug. 11, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
