Crop report came out today and the USDA (United States Dept. of Agriculture) finally caught up with what the rest of us farmers knew, the past year was a bad year. Weather bad today so I will start hauling grain, maybe Friday. Prices still moving up slightly above past highs. Checked augers I'll use to load grain and shut down fans on grain bins. The fans keep the air moving and keep the grain from spoiling.

Started hauling soybeans to CGB (Cincinnati Grain & Barge) grain elevator in Cincinnati on the river today. They were loading the soybeans directly on to a river barge to go for export. Grain prices have flattened out today. I'm including a picture of CGB where I will hauling grain.

Picked up filters and worked around shop on other projects. There is always something to work on this time of year. Sunday, January 16, 2011Put truck in the shop today to change oil, grease chassis and check fluid levels.
