Let's get those fresh veggies from the garden or farmers market and into the canner safely. This class will review the latest techniques for safe home food preservation Participants will learn both water bath canning and pressure canning techniques. Salsa and tomoato canning are similar in that both products must be processed in the water bath canner. Green beans are a low acid veggie and must be pressure canned. Criteria that affect food safety will be discussed and participants will become confident in their ability to safely preserve foods at home. This is a lecture demonstration class.
