Meet local farmers

The Crawford County Farm Bureau, in partnership with local farmers, will celebrate Food Check-Out Week with its annual Farmers’ Share Breakfast. The breakfast will be held Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, from 7 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Wynford High School. The cost of the meal is just 50 cents, which includes pancakes, sausage, eggs, orange juice, milk, and coffee.

“Farmers and ranchers remain committed to producing safe, healthy food for consumers, and we share with consumers many of the same concerns about putting nutritious meals on the table on a tight budget,” says Brenda Kocher, Crawford County Farm Bureau President. “By inviting consumers to our Farmers Share Breakfast, we hope to connect with them and provide a better understanding of the origins of the food on their plates.” So, come meet a farmer on Feb. 9!
