Crawford County Farm Bureau is expanding its presence at the Crawford County Fair. In 2014, the Farm Bureau Fun & Education Center in the Whetstone Building will be revitalized to provide an interactive agricultural education area. Farm Bureau aims to reach fair guests with a positive message about agriculture in our community, state, and nation. To help facilitate this endeavor, Farm Bureau will be filling three paid positions to manage the building.

Fair ambassador interns will promote a positive image of agriculture and will provide a memorable experience for fairgoers. They will staff the exhibits and displays while also interacting with guests. Qualified applicants should have a broad understanding of modern agriculture and be willing to start conversations and answer questions. They will host guests in the Whetstone Building and work closely with Farm Bureau members and staff to meet the exhibit goals.

Preference will be given to high school graduates, though current students are welcome to apply. Applicants should have the ability to take initiative and follow-through. Good communication skills are a must. Fair ambassador interns will be self-motivated and willing to work independently. Daily shifts will be either four(4), eight(8) or twelve(12) hours and will rotate to provide event coverage. Total hours worked will not be in excess of seventy (70) hours over the nine (9) day period beginning July 12 and ending July 20.  Hourly compensation will be provided. A full job description is attached.

All inquires can be directed to Tim Hicks, Farm Bureau Organization Director, at 567-241-3175 or thicks@ofbf.org.  All interested applicants shall send a resume to crawford@ofbf.org no later than June 20.
