Delaware County Farm Bureau Awards Annual Scholarships
Each year, Delaware County Farm Bureau awards scholarships to graduating seniors. The types of scholarships available are the Agriculture Scholarship, available for students pursuing a degree in agriculture and the Friend of Agriculture Scholarship, for students pursuing any other type of degree. Our 2013 applications will be due March 28, 2013. Applications will be posted on this site as soon as they are available.
Last year, three Delaware Farm Bureau youth were each awarded a $1,000 Scholarship. Jessica Harsh, daughter of David and Michele Harsh of Radnor, is a 2012 Buckeye Valley High School graduate. She is involved in 4-H and FFA, National Honor Society, as well as the American Junior Chianina Association. She will attend Purdue University in the fall and major in Animal Scieces and Agriculture Communications.
Rachel Lane, daughter of Trel and Jim Lane of Westerville, is a 2012 Westerville Central High School graduate. She has been involved in the Columbus Zoo Research School and National Honor Society. She will be attending the University of Findlay and majoring in Pre-Vet/Animal Sciences.
Alicia James, daughter of Mark and DeeDee James of Radnor, is a 2012 Buckeye Valley High School graduate. She is involved in National Honor Society, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and 4-H. She will be attending Cedarville University majoring in Middle School Education.
