2012 Scholarships Awarded

Each year, Erie County Farm Bureau awards general scholarships and ag-related scholarships to graduating seniors, and continuing education scholarships to college students.  These scholarships were recently awarded to eight deserving individuals.

Monica Braun of Margaretta High School, Elise Gastier and Brennan Otto of Edison High School, and Hallie Kovach of Western Reserve High School were the recipients of the $500 General Scholarship.  Monica plans to attend Ohio State University to study pre-optometry.  Elise plans to attend Ohio State University to study biology.  Brennan plans to attend Kent State University to study science and nursing and Hallie plans to attend Malone University to study special needs education.

Megan Kuhl of Huron High School and EHOVE, and Karli Lane of Margaretta High School were awarded the $500 Ag. Related Scholarship.  Megan plans to attend Ohio State University to study agronomy and Karli plans to attend Ohio State University to pursue pre-vetrinary studies. 

Emily Bailey of Sandusky and Zoe Gastier of Milan were the recipients of the $500 Continuing Education Scholarship.  Emily is attending Ohio State University ATI and studying floral design and marketing, and landscape management.  Zoe is attending Bowling Green Sate University and studying education.
