Mike Frederick, Oliver Cooper, Bill Reed, and Tim Zelek
Miami Whitewater Forest – Hamilton County Park District
Moving forward with the Miami Whitewater Forest horse trail refurbishment and rerouting project, Tim Zelek (Hamilton County Park District’s Park Planner), Ann Frederick (Hamilton County Parks Foundation), Mike Frederick (Hamilton County Farm Bureau), and Oliver Cooper (Ohio Horseman’s Council) accompanied trail builders Bill and Debbie Reed (owners of Managed Adventure Systems) on a six-hour horse trail walk to identify, GPS map, and prioritize the future improvements to horse trails A, B, C1, and C2.
Supported by $8,000 in matching funds from the Hamilton County Park District, more than $16,000 has been secured from multiple sources to fund the Miami Whitewater Forest horse trail project.Construction plans for this year include improving, rebuilding, and renewing 10,600 feet of older, eroded horse trails within Hamilton County Park District’s Miami Whitewater Forest.
