Great Parks of Hamilton County manages the only public horseback riding trails located in Hamilton County. Built  more than 30 years ago, Great Parks Miami Whitewater Forest horse trails are ranked as a favorite Ohio horseback riding destination with the three connecting horse trails being more than eight miles long.  However, time, weather and trail popularity have taken a toll on horse trails. Progressing as funds allow, plans are  already in place to build and reconstruct two miles of  the Miami Whitewater Forest horse trail.  Costing a projected $18,000 to $20,000, the Miami Whitewater Forest 2014 horse trail project currently has $10,000 committed toward horse trail construction.

Great Parks of Hamilton County continues to partner with the Great Parks Foundation, and organizations like American Quarter Horse Association, Hamilton County Farm Bureau, Ohio Farm Bureau, Tractor Supply, Diamond Oaks Future Farmers of America students, Ohio Horseman’s Council and many like -minded  people to provide the money and resources needed to refurbish the Miami Whitewater Forest horse trail system.

STEP Grant: Stewards for Trails, Education, and Partnerships (STEP) Grant is a project of the American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA) and Tractor Supply Company (TSC)
