The 14th and 15th of April this year were days that created memories for many residents of Hocking and Fairfield Counties. The Ohio Farm Bureau held their 4th annual Ag Days at the Hocking County Fairgrounds.

It was a fantastic event with everything from a sawdust coin find for kids to tractor pulls!  People witnessed agriculture in action: Sawmills buzzing, black smiths hammering, and hit and miss engines roaring. Popcorn, cracklings, soup beans and honey could be sampled, and farmers were intrigued with the equipment brought in from Taylor Chevrolet, Kreager Tire, Shaw Ag, Foltz Ag, Seneca Steel and JD Equipment.

There were live animals there that people could visit and learn more about. There were also educational tents to educate people on organizations such as The Ohio Farm Bureau, Air Evac and many others. Ag Days brought families together. It was a learning experience with agriculture learning everything from the past to the present! Children had the opportunity to experience Farm Bureau games, a soil activity, face painting, a sawdust coin find and bird feeders they get to take home. Overall, this was a fantastic event for people of all ages because there was something for everyone!
