2012 Scholarships Awarded

Each year, Huron County Farm Bureau awards ag-related scholarships to graduating seniors and continuing education scholarships to college students studying an ag-related field.  These scholarships were recently awarded to eight deserving individuals.  Hayley Beck of Western Reserve High School and Tiffany Szabo of New London High School were recipients of the $500 Agriculture Scholarship.  Hayley plans to attend Ohio State University to study agricultural communication.  Tiffany plans to attend Ohio State University to study environment and natural resources. 

Eric Leber of Monroeville, Jennifer Morgan of North Fairfield, Racheal Pitsinger of Willard, Joy Sizemore of Monroeville, and Derek Sweeting of North Fairfield were the receipients of the $500 Continuing Education Scholarship.  Eric is attending Ohio State University and studying agricultural systems management.  Jennifer is attending the University of Findlay and studying in the pre-veterinary program.  Racheal is attending Wilmington College.  Joy is attending the University of Findlay and studying animal science and pre-veterinary medicine.  Derek is attending Ohio State University and studying agronomy and agricultural business.  We wish the best of luck to all of these scholarship recipients in their educational endeavors.
