OUR OHIO MAGAZINE SPOTLIGHTS ANNíS RASPBERRY FARM
Those interested in learning about a great local source for berries and homemade jams should read the latest issue of Our Ohio magazine. This monthís issue features Annís Raspberry Farm and Specialty Crops, a business run by Dan and Ann Trudel of Fredericktown.
The Trudels are committed to offering a quality product and pay attention to small details, such as stacking their berries one by one to keep them in good condition before they get to market. One of their biggest struggles is keeping up with demands for their award-winning products.
ďWe cannot grow enough berries and we cannot make enough jam and itís been like this every year. At the end of the day, it really creates anxiety about ĎOh my gosh, how are we going to meet the demandí Ē said Dan.
The couple plans to expand the business with a second high tunnel for berries next year. Their raspberries and jams can currently be purchased online, at Weiland's Gourmet Market in Clintonville, Celebrate Local at Easton Town Square, Local Roots in Wooster, and a variety of Central Ohio farmerís markets.
