Membership Campaign Kick-Off Dinner Held Feb. 7

Tuesday, Feb. 7, Lorain County Farm Bureau kicked off its 2012 membership campaign by hosting a dinner at Matus Winery where more than 30 people met to discuss the campaign and goals for the year.  Discussion included upcoming campaign check-in dates, member benefit changes, distribution of worker folders and what information is included, discussion of membership numbers, and an explanation of the Erie, Huron & Lorain county member benefits brochure.  Campaign workers were informed of the county awards and Ohio Farm Bureau Federation awards that are part of the campaign.

Goals discussed for this year include attaining the pacesetter goal of 93% of farmer gain by March 31, attaining 40 productive workers by March 31, having four partnered membership activities in 2012, and using Facebook to increase membership and raise awareness of county Farm Bureau activities.

The first membership check-in meeting will be held, Wednesday, Feb. 29 at the Farm Bureau office located at 530 S. Main St., Oberlin, at 6:30 p.m.
