2012 Scholarships Awarded

Each year, Lorain County Farm Bureau awards ag-related scholarships and general scholarships to graduating seniors, and continuing education scholarships to college students studying an ag-related field.  These scholarships were recently awarded to four deserving individuals.  Adam DeChant of Avon High School was the recipient of the $500 General Scholarship and he plans to study architcture at either Miami University or Kent State University. 

Kyle Canfield of Keystone High School & Lorain County Joint Vocational School was the recipient of the $1,000 Agricultural Scholarship.  Kyle plans to study agriculture mechanics at the University of Northwestern Ohio.

Dan Grim of New London and Katie Carlson of Grafton were the recipients of the $1,000 Continuing Education Scholarship.  Dan is currently attending Ohio State University ATI where he is pursuing a degree in dairy science after which he will pursue a degree in veterinary science.  Katie is attending Cuyahoga Community College where she is pursuing a degree in veterinary technology.
