2013 Scholarships Awarded

Each year, Lorain County Farm Bureau awards ag-related scholarships and general scholarships to graduating seniors and continuing education scholarships to college students studying an ag-related field.  These scholarships were recently awarded to several deserving individuals.

Emily Edwards of Midview High School and Lorain County Joint Vocational School was the recipient of the $500 General Scholarship and she plans to attend Cleveland State University to major in pre-medicine.

Jake Dovin of Wellington High School and Lorain County Joint Vocational School was the recipient of the $1,000 Agricultural Scholarship.  Jake plans to attend The Ohio State University Agricultural Technical Institute to major in agricultural business and dairy cattle production and management.

Kyle Canfield of LaGrange and Mara Gordon of Wellington were the recipients of the $1,000 Continuing Education Scholarships.  Kyle is currently attending the University of Northwestern Ohio where he is pursuing a degree in agriculture equipment technology.  Mara is currently attending The Ohio State University where she is pursuing a degree in agronomy.
