Plan to Participate with the Canfield Fair

The fourth annual Mahoning Farm Bureau "Hunger Action" project with the Second Harvest Food Bank of the Mahoning Valley during the Canfield Fair is scheduled Thursday and Friday during the Jr. Fair Livestock Auction.  Join in with the  bidder's  who donate their purchase to help supply the food bank  supply much needed protein to the diets of many.  Last year a total of 1,966  pounds of locally raised meat which was ground, packaged and frozen  into three and five pound cylinder's and distributed through The Second Harvest Food Bank of the Mahoning Valley.  An additional 2,585 pounds were donated to The Rescue Mission in Youngstown and The Banquet of Salem.   The purchase helps the Jr. Fair Livestock members and feed the hungry in our Valley.
