Gabe Wetzel to donate pig auction sell proceeds to ALS Association

Something extra special is going on at this year's fair. Gabe Wetzel, a Montgomery county 4-Her and farm bureau member has faced many obstacles; he was born with Cerebral Palsy, development delay and Wolff Parkinson White Syndrome. Now wanting to help his mother, Susan who has been diagnosed with Lou Gehrig's Disease-ALS and has been receiving help from The ALS Association Central and Southern Ohio Chapter.

Gabe is grateful for the help his mother has received and wants to give back to the ALS Association, so that they can continue to do their wonderful work and assistance to people with ALS

We are now accepting donations toward purchasing Gabe's pig. Details on when Gabe's pig will run through auction can be found on the attached flier 'Gabe's Story'. Let's show Gabe and his family how much they mean to 4-H and The Montgomery County Fair and Farm Bureau

It's once again time for The Montgomery County Fair! Aug. 28-Sept. 2

Saturday, Aug. 31 will be the annual barn games hosted by the Montgomery County Farm Bureau -- sack races, three legged race and lots of group games. All are welcome to participate! Games will begin one hour after the beef breeding show or 8:30 pm, whichever is later.

Sunday, Sept. 1 will be the popular Kiddie Tractor Pull at 4 pm! The kids love participating in this tractor pull made just for them.

Make sure you stop by the Farm bureau hospitality tent for lots of information on Farm Bureau and the benefits that go along with being a member while supporting agriculture.
