Miami Valley Farm to Chef

Miami Valley Farm to Chef is a food hub located in Dayton, Ohio that provides chefs, grocers and other institutions access to locally grown produce. We function as a resource to purchase, market, aggregate and deliver produce from multiple growers in the Miami Valley. We were established in March 2013 and have enjoyed success in our inaugural year. In 2013 we worked with six growers and sold their produce to twelve customers as well as through vendors at three farmers markets.

 

We would like to expand in 2014 and have already lined up significant new customers. In order to meet the anticipated increase in demand, we are currently looking for additional farmers to supply us with fresh, high quality, locally grown produce. We are willing to work with growers who are only raising small quantities of produce or can only sell us a part of their harvest. We do not require organic certification, but we expect the produce to be raised using sustainable practices (i.e. without the use of chemical fertilizers or pesticides). Our customers are looking for fresh, “clean” and healthy produce.
