Morrow County Farm Bureau is partnering with Ag Credit Country Mortgages in Mount Gilead to form a new group of young adults, age 18-35 years, interested in farming, local foods and rural living. The Morrow Young Ag Professionals (YAP) reside or work in Morrow County and want to socialize and be engaged with others who share similar interests. You do not need to be a  Farm Bureau member to attend, nor do you have to be a farmer, but you will need to be interested in networking, having fun, food, developing leadership skills and improving the community.

We are putting together a program for the year that will include pressing topics such Dealing with the Affordable CareAct at your Farm/Business and Starting a New Operation/Business, to taking a group tour of breweries in the Columbus area and canoeing at Mohican.

Our first event is set for Wednesday, March 26 from 6 p.m to 8 p.m. at the Cornerstone Grill and Café, Main St, Mount Gilead with pizza and social networking time prior to the presentation.

Topic: How the Affordable Care Act impacts me and my business with Barry Peel, Economic Development Specialist with US Small Business Administration.

You do not have to be a farm bureau member to attend. RSVP not required. Questions contact Andrea Bayles at abayles@agcredit.net.
