COLUMBUS, Ohio (OFBF) - Eddie Lou Meimer of Mt. Gilead has been elected to the board of trustees of the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation (OFBF). She will serve as Northwest Women’s trustee, representing Farm Bureau members from 24 counties, and help govern the state’s largest and most inclusive farm organization.  She fills the position formerly held by Judy Loudenslager of Marion, who retired from the board following many years of service.

Meimer and her husband, John, are the parents of two grown children, Jim and Terri. She and Jim raise hay, grain and beef cows and produce maple syrup. She is a longtime member of the Morrow County Farm Bureau, served as its president and vice president and has worked in membership and food and animal issues activities.
