Joel Gerber from Chillicothe was recently recognized for his support of family farmers and local food production by the Ohio Farm Bureau.

Gerber was among 12 Nationwide Agents from across the state to be named an Ohio Farm Bureau Membership All-Star.

Nationwide Insurance was started more than 80 years ago by the Ohio Farm Bureau to satisfy a need for affordable, quality insurance for Ohio farmers. It is now one of the largest insurance companies in the United States and the largest insurer of farms and agribusinesses.

Nationwide maintains a strong relationship with Ohio Farm Bureau, a broad-based membership organization that works to forge a partnership between farmers and consumers.

As a result of that relationship, Ohio Farm Bureau members receive exclusive savings on Nationwide products.

Three Nationwide agents in each of Ohio Farm Bureau’s membership regions were recognized for their success in showing the value of Farm Bureau membership to their customers.

“Ohio Farm Bureau works each day to protect family farms and connect consumers to their food,” said John Torres organization director for the Ross County Farm Bureau. “We’re proud to partner with all Nationwide agents to further these goals, and we thank Joel for his tremendous support.”
