Animals are our companions and they bring joy to our lives. Whether they curl up at our feet, greet us after a long day of work or provide nutrients for our bodies, animals are essential to human existence. They help maintain vitality and life, and we protect them and care for them as they help to meet our needs.

Slightly more than two years ago, the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation helped create the Animals for Life Foundation, a 501c3 not for profit public charity that is working to promote the proper care of animals, celebrate the human-animal bond and recognize the value animals bring to human life. Since 2009, the Foundation has awarded more than $50,000 to programs that aim to improve the human-animal bond, including supporting a classroom therapy dog, a therapy dog program for children with autism, a first-responders training for animal handling in emergency situations, a local foods event and a career program for students interested in animal professions.

Enjoy your meal and thank you for supporting the Animals for Life Foundation!
