Making Butter on Pioneer Day!
Pioneer Day, held at the Shelby County Fairgrounds Oct. 3, was a day of learning how the pioneers lived and discovered new ways of living. More than 900 4th graders from Anna, Botkins, Jackson Center, Fairlawn, Houston, Fort Loramie, Russia, and Sidney learned from Shelby County Farm Bureau members how butter was discovered and then made some for themselves to enjoy with crackers, YUM!
