2014 Wood County Scholarship Recipients

Each year the Wood County Farm Bureau offers several scholarships. This years recipients include:

Zachary Lucas winner of $500 Ag related scholarship—Zac is the son of Rebecca and Rodney Lucas. He is a sophomore at Ohio State University majoring in Strategic Communications and Ag Communications.  Zac hopes to get a job as a broadcaster or to work in an Ag related field.

Nathan Gerwin winner of $500 Ag related scholarship—Nathan is the son of David and Lisa Gerwin.  He is a senior at Eastwood High School where he is involved with FFA and numerous other activities.  Nathan plans on attending Hocking College in Nelsonville where is going to major in Ag Business. He is looking forward to possibly being a heavy equipment operator.

Julia Tegge winner of $500 Ag related scholarship—Julia is the daughter of Timothy and Jayne Tegge.  She is a senior at Notre Dame Academy where she has been involved in numerous activities.  Julia plans on attending Otterbein University where she plans on studying Zoo and Conservation science.  She hopes to get a position with a Zoo or with a conservation center upon graduation from college.

Christine Russell winner of $500 Non-Ag related scholarship—Christine is the daughter of John and Denise Russell.  She is a senior at Eastwood High School where she has been involved with FFA and numerous other activities.  Christine plans on going to BGSU or Ohio State and major in accounting.  She wants to work for an accounting firm upon completing her education.
