Thank you for voicing your questions, comments and concerns on this issue. Ohio Farm Bureau was aware that taking a stance (on either side of this issue) would put the organization at odds with a number of Ohioans.

We have received a good amount of feedback through many communications methods since the organization announced its support of Issue 2.

I find it interesting that a group that relies so heavily upon government support and subsidies is so ready to curb government spending by taking someone else's money away. OFB has as much business weighing in on this issue as PETA has weighing in on livestock care standards. I asked a farmer once how OFB and the Farmers' Union differ. His reply, "politics." Time to let go of my OFB membership and see if the politics in Farmers' Union is any more suited to my way of thinking. flag as improper
