Payne re-elected to Ohio Farm Bureau board of trustees

CINCINNATI, Ohio (OFBF) – Joyce Payne of Waterloo has been re-elected to the board of trustees for the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation (OFBF). Payne will help govern Ohio’s largest general farm organization.
As the District 22 trustee, she represents Farm Bureau members from Athens, Gallia, Lawrence and Meigs counties. This is her second three-year term.
Payne is a 31-year member of Lawrence County Farm Bureau where she has served on numerous committees including membership and Ag in the Classroom. She has been a 4-H adviser for 13 years and has held several offices in the PTA, including president. She and her husband, Gene, produce cattle, goats, hay and corn on their 80-acre farm. They are the parents of two grown children, have seven grandchildren and are members of the Palestine Baptist Church.
Payne was elected during the 91st annual meeting of OFBF, held Dec. 2-4 in Cincinnati. During the meeting, Farm Bureau delegates established policy on a variety of agricultural, environmental, economic and social issues.
