Haley elected to Ohio Farm Bureau board of trustees

CINCINNATI, Ohio (OFBF) - Pam Haley of West Salem has been elected Northeast Womenís Trustee for the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation (OFBF).† She will represent Farm Bureau members from 20 northeastern Ohio counties.† Haley will help govern the stateís largest general farm organization.† She fills the seat vacated by Gale Betterly who retired after nine years on the board.
Haley and her husband, Mike, farm with his father.† They produce corn, soybeans, wheat, hay and own a registered Simmental cow herd.† They also operate a small trucking business.† She is a crop insurance adjuster for Rural Community Insurance Service.† Haley has been a member of Wayne County Farm Bureau for five years and has been involved with the countyís membership, farm tour and State Issue 2 activities.† She also was a member of Stark County Farm Bureau for six years.†
Haley was a 2009 OFBF Discussion Meet finalist and participates in the Young Ag Professionals program. Additionally, Haley is a 4-H advisor and secretary-treasurer of Ohio Simmental Association. She received a bachelorís degree in agricultural economics from The Ohio State University.†
Haley was elected during the 91st annual meeting of OFBF, held Dec. 2-4 in Cincinnati.
