For Immediate Release

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Ohio Farm Bureau Foundation (Foundation), the Animals for Life Foundation (AFL) and the new Ohio Center on Agricultural Law, Inc. (OCAL) have united to host the Seventh Annual Rural – Urban Community Auction.

The online event takes place Nov. 1 – 29 at www.ofbf.cmarket.com. The program will conclude with a live finale as part of the Hospitality Corner at Ohio Farm Bureau Federation’s (OFBF) Annual Meeting in Columbus Nov. 30.

Online participants will have the opportunity to bid on getaway travel packages, home goods, sports memorabilia, collectibles and unique adventure items. New items will be entered into the auction’s catalog throughout the event.

“County Farm Bureaus throughout Ohio are creating unique items that represent the best of their communities,” Foundation board member and auction coordinator Dale Arnold said. “Several businesses, organizations and friends of Farm Bureau who support the Foundation, AFL and OCAL programs are donating items for the event, too.”

"This is our second year, and the Animals for Life Foundation is excited about working with the Ohio Farm Bureau Foundation again, as well as expanding this partnership to the Ohio Center on Agricultural Law," said AFL Executive Director, David White. “When you think about the three organizations involved, this project is becoming a true family effort.”

“We are excited to launch our brand-new legal foundation and to participate for the first time in the auction,” OCAL Executive Director, Chad Endsley said. “We look forward to partnering with the other foundations in the Farm Bureau family, and inviting auction participants to get to know more about the center, our activities and our programs.”

Interested parties can visit the auction website for a catalog preview and to register as an official online bidder. Participants can stay involved in the auction through the entire process by using the “Absentee Bidding” option, and are also invited to attend the final live session in Columbus. Further instructions are available at the auction’s website.

The auction is part of CMarket’s national Bidding for Good network, which connects individuals with unique charity auctions across the nation. The Foundation’s goal is to raise more than $30,000.

The Ohio Farm Bureau Foundation, AFL and OCAL are nonprofit, public, charitable 501 (c) (3) organizations.
