Stimpert, Peach Accept New Duties with Ohio Farm Bureau

COLUMBUS, Ohio (OFBF) – Keith Stimpert has been named senior vice president, organization for the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation (OFBF). He will be responsible for oversight of OFBF’s support services and field operations including organization director services for county Farm Bureaus. Other areas of responsibility include leadership development, membership, information technology and member benefit programs.

Stimpert takes leadership of the organization department after serving 15 years as senior vice president of public policy for OFBF. Stimpert first joined Ohio Farm Bureau in 1978 as an organization director and later became managing editor of the organization’s publication Buckeye Farm News. He also was executive director for the Ohio Soybean Association and Ohio Soybean Council.

Stimpert holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Miami University and a master’s degree in agricultural education from Ohio State University. He and his wife, Terri, are the parents of three children.

“Keith has excelled in every role he’s filled for Farm Bureau, and I’m confident he’ll do the same in his new position,” said OFBF executive vice president John C. (Jack) Fisher.

OFBF also announced that Brian Peach will become senior director of field operations. He will work closely with field staff on membership and other activities for the state and county Farm Bureaus.

Peach was a Farm Bureau organization director from 1979-1983, was chief of the division of plant industry at the Ohio Department of Agriculture and was secretary/treasurer of the Ohio AgriBusiness Association. He rejoined Ohio Farm Bureau in 2010. He has a degree in agriculture from Ohio State University. Peach and his wife, Amy, have a son and grandson.
