COLUMBUS, Ohio (OFBF) – Frank Burkett III of Massillon has been elected treasurer for the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation (OFBF). It is the third highest elected office in the organization. He remains District 9 trustee, representing Farm Bureau members from Columbiana, Mahoning, Portage and Stark counties.

Burkett replaces Keith Truckor, who remains on the board but has retired as Treasurer.

Burkett is a long-time member of Stark County Farm Bureau, having served as a board trustee, policy development chairman and farm tour chairman. He serves on the Stark County Dairy Committee and is a past board member for Ohio Dairy Producers. He is a member of Rivertree Christian Church.

Burkett, in partnership with three uncles, co-owns and manages Clardale Farms, Inc., a dairy and crop operation. He received a bachelor of science degree in agriculture from Ohio State University, with a major in agricultural systems management and a minor in agricultural economics.

Burkett was elected during the 93rd annual meeting of the Ohio Farm Bureau held Nov. 30 to Dec. 2 in Columbus.
