Burkett Elected Treasurer of Ohio Farm Bureau

COLUMBUS, Ohio (OFBF) Frank Burkett III of Massillon has been elected treasurer for the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation (OFBF). It is the third highest elected office in the organization. He remains District 9 trustee, representing Farm Bureau members from Columbiana, Mahoning, Portage and Stark counties.

Burkett replaces Keith Truckor, who remains on the board but has retired as Treasurer.

Burkett is a long-time member of Stark County Farm Bureau, having served as a board trustee, policy development chairman and farm tour chairman. He serves on the Stark County Dairy Committee and is a past board member for Ohio Dairy Producers. He is a member of Rivertree Christian Church.

Burkett, in partnership with three uncles, co-owns and manages Clardale Farms, Inc., a dairy and crop operation. He received a bachelor of science degree in agriculture from Ohio State University, with a major in agricultural systems management and a minor in agricultural economics.

Burkett was elected during the 93rd annual meeting of the Ohio Farm Bureau held Nov. 30 to Dec. 2 in Columbus.
