COLUMBUS, Ohio (OFBF) – Sparky Weilnau of Milan is serving on the 2011 Ohio Farm Bureau Federation (OFBF) Policy Development Committee. Weilnau, who is the committee chairman, is first vice president and district 3 trustee for OFBF. The committee is charged with collecting, organizing and finalizing policy recommendations submitted by county Farm Bureaus throughout the state.

The measure, which will appear on the Nov. 8 ballot, will retain the reforms to public employee collective bargaining laws passed by the General Assembly in March.

COLUMBUS, Ohio (OFBF) – Nineteen Ohioans interested in becoming future leaders and advocates for Ohio agriculture have been selected by the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation (OFBF) to participate in its 2011-2012 AgriPOWER institute. OFBF launched AgriPOWER in 2008 as an elite training program. The yearlong program consists of seven two-to-three-day training sessions that focus on public policy issues confronting agriculture and the food industry.
COLUMBUS, Ohio (OFBF) – Greenville resident Matt Aultman is one of 19 farmers and agribusiness professionals selected by the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation (OFBF) to participate in the 2011-2012 AgriPOWER program. Aultman works as a salesman and grain buyer for Keller Grain & Feed, Inc., is a Darke County Farm Bureau member and is the seventh generation on the family farm.
