Farm Bureau Encourages ‘Yes’ Vote on State Issue 2

Ohio Farm Bureau Federation's Board of Trustees has announced its support for the passage of State Issue 2, following extensive study and deliberation. The measure, which will appear on the Nov. 8 ballot, will retain the reforms to public employee collective bargaining laws passed by the General Assembly in March.

Win up to $1,000 in the ‘My Ohio Ag’ video contest

COLUMBUS, Ohio (OFBF) – Ohioans can demonstrate their connection to Ohio agriculture and win up to $1,000 cash in the “My Ohio Agriculture” video contest. Ohio Farm Bureau Federation’s (OFBF) Center for Food and Animal Issues invites farmers, county Farm Bureaus, 4-H and FFA youth and all Ohioans to submit a video, which communicates a positive and informative message about Ohio agriculture and food.

Collective Bargaining Debate to Air on Town Hall Ohio

Ohio Farm Bureau Kicks-off Fourth AgriPOWER Institute Program

COLUMBUS, Ohio (OFBF) – Nineteen Ohioans interested in becoming future leaders and advocates for Ohio agriculture have been selected by the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation (OFBF) to participate in its 2011-2012 AgriPOWER institute. OFBF launched AgriPOWER in 2008 as an elite training program. The yearlong program consists of seven two-to-three-day training sessions that focus on public policy issues confronting agriculture and the food industry.

Aultman Selected to Participate in Intensive Agricultural Leadership Program

COLUMBUS, Ohio (OFBF) – Greenville resident Matt Aultman is one of 19 farmers and agribusiness professionals selected by the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation (OFBF) to participate in the 2011-2012 AgriPOWER program. Aultman works as a salesman and grain buyer for Keller Grain & Feed, Inc., is a Darke County Farm Bureau member and is the seventh generation on the family farm.

COLUMBUS, Ohio (OFBF) – Mingo Junction resident Yvonne Batchelor is one of 19 farmers and agribusiness professionals selected by the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation (OFBF) to participate in the 2011-2012 AgriPOWER program. Batchelor is a retired SSgt from the United States Air Force, a firefighter for the Brilliant Fire Department, a Jefferson County Farm Bureau member and part of her family’s small beef cattle farm.
