Propst Selected to Participate in Intensive Agricultural Leadership Program

COLUMBUS, Ohio (OFBF) – Mechanicsburg resident Amanda Propst is one of 19 farmers and agribusiness professionals selected by the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation (OFBF) to participate in the 2011-2012 AgriPOWER program. Propst worked as the agricultural education teacher at Northeastern Local School District, is a Champaign County Farm Bureau member and, with her husband, manages a 40 sow club pig operation.

Reese Selected to Participate in Intensive Agricultural Leadership Program

COLUMBUS, Ohio (OFBF) – Baltimore resident Kristin Reese is one of 19 farmers and agribusiness professionals selected by the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation (OFBF) to participate in the 2011-2012 AgriPOWER program. Reese works as a Realtor with Real Living HER, owns her own catering business, Local Flavor Foods LLC, is a Fairfield County Farm Bureau member and, with her husband and children, raise Horned Dorset sheep, meat chickens, layers and rabbits.

COLUMBUS, Ohio (OFBF) – Sharon Center resident Bruce Simmons is one of 19 farmers and agribusiness professionals selected by the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation (OFBF) to participate in the 2011-2012 AgriPOWER program. Simmons is a retired university professor, grain farmer, a Medina County Farm Bureau member, an Eagle Scout and scout leader.

COLUMBUS, Ohio (OFBF) – Sunbury resident Myra Snider is one of 19 farmers and agribusiness professionals selected by the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation (OFBF) to participate in the 2011-2012 AgriPOWER program. Snider works for Westfield Specialty Brokerage Services, is a Delaware County Farm Bureau member and is part of her family’s lawn service, Del Fra Lawn Service, Inc.

COLUMBUS, Ohio (OFBF) – Liberty Township resident Terri Studer is one of 19 farmers and agribusiness professionals selected by the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation (OFBF) to participate in the 2011-2012 AgriPOWER program. Studer has owned, bred and shown Tennessee Walking horses for 35 years, is a Butler County Farm Bureau member and is very involved as a volunteer in the Butler County 4-H and Extension program.

COLUMBUS, Ohio (OFBF) – Marysville resident Matt Stump is one of 19 farmers and agribusiness professionals selected by the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation (OFBF) to participate in the 2011-2012 AgriPOWER program. Stump is a salesman and agronomist for Bret Davis Seeds, LLC, selling Asgrow/Dekalb seeds, is a University of Missouri graduate and is new to Ohio.

COLUMBUS, Ohio (OFBF) – Canal Winchester resident Leland Tinklepaugh is one of 19 farmers and agribusiness professionals selected by the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation (OFBF) to participate in the 2011-2012 AgriPOWER program. Tinklepaugh is a recent graduate of The Ohio State University’s College of Food Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, works for Schacht Family Farm and is a Franklin County Farm Bureau member.

COLUMBUS, Ohio (OFBF) – Delphos resident Curtis Tobe is one of 19 farmers and agribusiness professionals selected by the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation (OFBF) to participate in the 2011-2012 AgriPOWER program. Tobe works as a branch manager at Rockford for Mercer Landmark, Inc. and is a Putnam County Farm Bureau member.

COLUMBUS, Ohio (OFBF) – East Canton resident Kris Vincent is one of 19 farmers and agribusiness professionals selected by the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation (OFBF) to participate in the 2011-2012 AgriPOWER program. Vincent works as the maintenance supervisor at Malone University, is a Stark County Farm Bureau member, is very active in the cattlemen’s organization at the local, state and national levels and, with his wife, has a cow-calf beef operation where he utilizes rotational grazing.

COLUMBUS, Ohio (OFBF) – South Charleston resident Carol Wildman is one of 19 farmers and agribusiness professionals selected by the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation (OFBF) to participate in the 2011-2012 AgriPOWER program. Wildman serves as a church musician and director, home schools her children, is a Clark County Farm Bureau member and, with her husband, has a 650 sow farrow-to-finish operation and raises 600 acres of corn and soybeans.
