COLUMBUS, Ohio (OFBF) – Radnor resident Caitlyn Heimerl is one of 20 farmers and agribusiness professionals selected by the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation (OFBF) to participate in the 2014-2015 AgriPOWER Institute. Heimerl is a district sales manager for Great Lakes Hybrids. She is a Delaware County Farm Bureau member and active with the Ohio Soybean Association and Delaware County Fair.

COLUMBUS, Ohio (OFBF) – Newark resident Kayla Jones is one of 20 farmers and agribusiness professionals selected by the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation (OFBF) to participate in the 2014-2015 AgriPOWER Institute. Jones is director of CAUV and ag district programs and deputy director of oil and gas taxation for the Licking County Auditor’s office. She is vice president of Licking County Farm Bureau, secretary of Utica FFA Alumni and has a small beef cattle and hay operation.

COLUMBUS, Ohio (OFBF) – Powell resident Kent Jorgensen is one of 20 farmers and agribusiness professionals selected by the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation (OFBF) to participate in the 2014-2015 AgriPOWER Institute. Jorgensen is an agricultural attorney specializing in helping farmers with business planning and farm succession. He is a Franklin County Farm Bureau member, Young Agricultural Professionals member and talks at various events on agricultural law issues.

COLUMBUS, Ohio (OFBF) – Plain City resident Lyndsey Murphy is one of 20 farmers and agribusiness professionals selected by the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation (OFBF) to participate in the 2014-2015 AgriPOWER Institute. Murphy is communications manager for the Ohio Corn & Wheat Growers Association. She is a Champaign County Farm Bureau member and also works for VanScoy Farms, helping manage their CSAs (Community Supported Agriculture and farmers markets).

COLUMBUS, Ohio (OFBF) – Wooster resident Benjamin Richardson is one of 20 farmers and agribusiness professionals selected by the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation (OFBF) to participate in the 2014-2015 AgriPOWER Institute. Richardson is a fruit and vegetable grower and raises greenhouse plants for retail. He is a Medina County Farm Bureau member and a home health aide to his older sister.

COLUMBUS, Ohio (OFBF) – Fostoria resident Roshelle Rowe is one of 20 farmers and agribusiness professionals selected by the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation (OFBF) to participate in the 2014-2015 AgriPOWER Institute. Rowe is a homemaker and helps on the family’s cattle and grain farm. She is a Seneca County Farm Bureau member, and she and her husband helped start the Seneca County Young Agricultural Professionals group.

COLUMBUS, Ohio (OFBF) – Georgetown resident Hannah Scott is one of 20 farmers and agribusiness professionals selected by the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation (OFBF) to participate in the 2014-2015 AgriPOWER Institute. Scott is pursuing a master’s degree in environment and natural resources at Ohio State University and helps run a family beef, grain and tobacco farm. She is a Brown County Farm Bureau member, on the Ohio Tobacco Museum Board of Trustees and is a Duke University CDS Youth Advisory Council member.

COLUMBUS, Ohio (OFBF) – Milford resident Greg Simpson is one of 20 farmers and agribusiness professionals selected by the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation (OFBF) to participate in the 2014-2015 AgriPOWER Institute. Simpson is president of Key Transportation, Inc. He is a Clermont County Farm Bureau member, secretary of the county fair board, member of the Ohio Expositions Commission and vice chairman of the Clermont County Port Authority.

COLUMBUS, Ohio (OFBF) – Whitehouse resident Wade Smith is one of 20 farmers and agribusiness professionals selected by the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation (OFBF) to participate in the 2014-2015 AgriPOWER Institute. Smith runs Whitehouse Specialty Crops LLC, which grows greenhouse tomatoes and perennial flowers. He is vice president of Lucas County Farm Bureau and a participant in the Lucas County Ag/Econ Task Force.

COLUMBUS, Ohio (OFBF) – Newbury resident Tom Somrack is one of 20 farmers and agribusiness professionals selected by the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation (OFBF) to participate in the 2014-2015 AgriPOWER Institute. Somrack is a student at the University of Findlay studying animal science and pre-veterinary studies and grew up on a small family farm. He is a Geauga County Farm Bureau member, a 4-H leader for many years and active in student government at the University of Findlay.
