Global Warming to be Discussed on Town Hall Ohio Broadcast

COLUMBUS, Ohio (OFBF) - The science, economics and politics of global warming will be examined on this week’s edition of Town Hall Ohio. Ohio State University economists Andy Keeler and Brent Sohngen will talk about climate change, its causes and effects. They also will discuss proposed federal legislation to deal with the issue and the costs and benefits of the proposals.

Influenza pandemic to be explained on Town Hall Ohio broadcast this weekend

COLUMBUS, Ohio (OFBF) - A detailed discussion of the H1N1 influenza virus will be held on this week’s edition of Town Hall Ohio. Featured guests will be Dr. Tim Buckley from Ohio State University’s College of Public Health and Dr. Richard Slemons of OSU’s College of Veterinary Medicine. Also appearing are Dick Isler of the Ohio Pork Producers Council and Sara Morman from the Ohio Department of Health (ODH).

Boyer graduates from OFBF’s AgriPOWER Institute

COLUMBUS, Ohio (OFBF) - Korre Boyer of Ashland County was one of 20 selected individuals to recently graduate from a new, intensive leadership program designed to develop advocates for the agriculture industry. Developed by the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation, the AgriPOWER Institute was launched last summer to help farmers and agribusiness professionals gain influence over public policy issues that impact their businesses.
