Vonderhaar participating in intensive agricultural leadership program

COLUMBUS, Ohio (OFBF) – Camden resident Rachael Vonderhaar is one of 20 farmers and agribusiness professionals selected by the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation (OFBF) to participate in the 2014-2015 AgriPOWER Institute. Vonderhaar helps run Vonderhaar Farms, Inc., a row crop, cattle and sheep operation. She is a Preble County Farm Bureau member, vice president of the Ohio Agri-Women and an American Agri-Women member.

COLUMBUS, Ohio (OFBF) – West Union resident Kristy Watters is one of 20 farmers and agribusiness professionals selected by the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation (OFBF) to participate in the 2014-2015 AgriPOWER Institute. Watters is the fiscal officer/educational coordinator for the Southern Ohio Agricultural & Community Development Foundation and was raised on a farm. She is an Adams County Farm Bureau member and on the Adams County 4-H Advisory Committee and Ohio Valley CTC Agribusiness Advisory Committee.

Ohio Farm Bureau Hires Milam as Director of Legal Education

In her new position, Milam will provide legal education and information on agricultural issues to Ohio Farm Bureau members, monitor legal cases important to agriculture and review proposed legislation at the state and federal levels.

COLUMBUS, Ohio (OFBF) – Twelve young Ohioans have been named recipients of $1,500 college scholarships from the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation Foundation. Supported by the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation, the Foundation annually recognizes Ohio students for their academic effort, engagement in their communities and career interests that link agriculture to community service, education or scientific research.
