Jordan Selected to Participate in Intensive Agricultural Leadership Program

COLUMBUS, Ohio (OFBF) – Leslie Jordan of Marion, Ohio, is one of 22 farmers and agribusiness professionals selected by the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation (OFBF) to participate in the 2009-2010 AgriPOWER program. She is a resident agent for the United States Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Grain Inspection, Packers & Stockyards Administration (GIPSA) and also manages a purebred sheep farm.

Isler Selected to Participate in Intensive Agricultural Leadership Program

COLUMBUS, Ohio (OFBF) – Scott Isler of Prospect, Ohio, is one of 22 farmers and agribusiness professionals selected by the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation (OFBF) to participate in the 2009-2010 AgriPOWER program. He is employed by Islercrest Farms where he manages a 600-head sow farrow-to-finish hog farm that also includes crop production.

COLUMBUS, Ohio (OFBF) – Matthew Heimerl of Johnstown, Ohio, is one of 22 farmers and agribusiness professionals selected by the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation (OFBF) to participate in the 2009-2010 AgriPOWER program. Matt is very actively involved with his family’s farming operation, which consists of hog production, feeder cattle, corn, soybeans and wheat.

COLUMBUS, Ohio (OFBF) – Katherine Harrison of Groveport, Ohio, is one of 22 farmers and agribusiness professionals selected by the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation (OFBF) to participate in the 2009-2010 AgriPOWER program. She manages Blystone Farm, an on-farm processor of lambs and goats, and manages a herd of commercial meat goats.

COLUMBUS, Ohio (OFBF) – Brent Dixon of Jackson, Ohio, is one of 22 farmers and agribusiness professionals selected by the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation (OFBF) to participate in the 2009-2010 AgriPOWER program. He is actively involved in logging, timber/property development and a developing aquaculture (fish farming) operation.

She is actively involved with her family’s diversified livestock and grain farm located in Delaware and Harrison counties.

Eric is a project manager/chemical engineer whose farming operation consists of wine grape production.

COLUMBUS, Ohio (OFBF) – Brian Brandt of Worthington, Ohio, is one of 22 farmers and agribusiness professionals selected by the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation (OFBF) to participate in the 2009-2010 AgriPOWER program. He currently serves as director of the agricultural conservation innovation center for American Farmland Trust and continues to be involved with his family’s grain farm in Darke County, Ohio.

He works for Farm Credit Services of Mid-America, which is located in Alliance, Ohio, as a financial services officer.
