COLUMBUS, Ohio (OFBF) – Alfred (Al) DiVencenzo of Grafton has been elected District 3 trustee for the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation (OFBF). He will represent Farm Bureau members from Cuyahoga, Erie, Huron and Lorain counties and will help govern the state’s largest food and farm organization.
COLUMBUS, Ohio (OFBF) – Summit County Farm Bureau was one of four county Farm Bureaus selected nationwide to receive a $700 grant from the American Farm Bureau Women’s Leadership Committee (AFBWLC) to help fund “Our Food Link” activities.
COLUMBUS, Ohio (OFBF) – Jessica Swihart has joined Ohio Farm Bureau Federation’s field staff to help support county Farm Bureaus in their operations. Swihart, who was hired in anticipation of future staffing needs, will be training under Darren Frank, organization director of Lucas, Ottawa, Sandusky, Seneca, Wood and Wyandot counties. Swihart’s duties will be helping leaders strengthen county Farm Bureaus through program development and implementation and identifying ways to serve members and their communities.
COLUMBUS, Ohio (OFBF) – Ohio Farm Bureau Federation’s 2013 Outstanding Young Farmers Nathan and Jennifer Brown of Hillsboro recently received a Kubota M-Series tractor to use for 250 hours, one of the prizes for being named the state winner.
COLUMBUS, Ohio (OFBF) – Young adults involved in or interested in food and farming are invited to attend a Summer Reach Out event June 28 at Mohican State Park. Ohio Farm Bureau Federation’s Young Agricultural Professionals (YAP) is hosting the event. Registration deadline is May 23.
