Just like the ongoing and evolving challenges we have faced in Ag. getting the facts out in the past, this new media (SM) makes it necessary for us to engage for reasons past and those not yet seen.
Those of you who know me know I sorta move a "hunderd miles an hour with my hair on fire" but I am soon to be 46 and I figure life is a third of the way done so I better pick up the pace. This media helps me do that.
I am pleased to see FB get involved with such tenacity and purpose. Dan Toland has been a great resource and helped me get over a few bumps along the way. I learn something new everyday about this thing they call SM and with the more I learn the less I think I know.
I entered this world because I saw my traditional media avenues becomming increasingly difficult to navigate effectively. Yes it takes time but hey, I gotta spend it someplace or with someone for marketing. I have been in this 20 years now traditional media is much different today than in the past. Trad. media still plays a role it is just different.
SM allows me to vertically integrate my message just like we have strived to do with our products and experiences. By doing so I have control of it over a longer period to time which makes it more targeted and hopefully more effective.
