Ohio's First Lady Karen Kasich visited the Ohio State Fair during First Lady's Day, and made stop in Ohio Farm Bureau's Land and Living exhibit.

Young Agricultural Professionals Scott and Tracie Isler of Marion County and Matt and Rachel Heimerl of Licking County were named winners of two of Ohio Farm Bureau's 2011 Young Ag Professionals contests. They will compete at the national level in Hawaii in January 2012.

Paul Wright, native of Coshocton, and well-known Ohio Ag Lawyer was presented Ohio Farm Bureau's Distinguished Service to Agriculture Award during the organization's 2011 annual meeting.

Howard Skiles, a former Ohio Farm Bureau Board member who also served on Landmark Cooperative Board and received awards for resource conservation, received Ohio Farm Bureau's Distinguished Service to Agriculture Award at the organization's 2011 annual meeting.

Fred Pursley received a 2011 Distinguished Service to Agriculture award from the Ohio Farm Bureau. The longtime Nationwide Insurance agent serving Ohio farmers, and Warren County Farm Bureau Outstanding Service Award winner shared stories from his time knowing Ohio Farm Bureau First Executive Vice President Lincoln Murray, and other tales from Farm Bureau past upon receiving his award.
