94th AFBF Annual Meeting

Ohio Farm Bureau members are invited to attend the 94th American Farm Bureau annual meeting. Members will be staying at the Opryland hotel, all the events for the meeting are under one roof. Call OFBF Travel Coordinator Mary Jo Gerrity at 614-246-8227 or email mgerrity@ofbf.org for pricing information and to make air, hotel and tour reservations. Arrangements must be made by Dec. 3, 2012. The annual meeting meeting registration fee is $100.

In addition to policy discussion and approval, the meeting will feature young farmer awards, Foundation Flapjack breakfast and auciton, Distinguished Service Awards, state Farm Bureau program and membership awards, the President's Address from Bob Stallman, a county presidents luncheon, educational seminars and a special reception for Ohio attendees Saturday at the hotel.

Keynote speaker is retired astronaut Mark Kelly and more than 5,000 members from across the nation are expected to gather in Nashville. Kelly is one of America’s most experienced pilots and has logged more than 6,000 flight hours aboard more than 50 different aircraft. His experience includes 375 aircraft carrier landings, 39 combat missions, more than 50 days in space and serving as commander of the Space Shuttle Endeavor’s final mission.

Tennessee Farm Bureau is offering several tour options Saturday through Tuesday. Tour deposits are due Dec. 1, 2012.
