The meeting theme is adapting agriculture to extreme weather. Session topics:
Jeff Rodgers, State Climatologist, Ohio Weather & Climate Trends;
Bruce Clevenger, OSU Extension, Farmer Attitudes & Survey Data on Weather and Climate;
Alan Sundermeier, OSU Extension, Carbon, Climate, & Terms;
James Hoorman, OSU Extension, Adapting Agricultural to Extreme Weather;
Dr. Lonnie Thompson, Distinguished University Professor, School of Earth Sciences and Research Scientist at Byrd Polar Research Center, Global Climate Change: Glaciers, Agriculture and People;
Dr. Rafiq Islam, Soil & Water Specialists, OSU/OARDC Piketon Climate Change & 21st Century Agriculture;
and Dr. Brent Sohngen, Professor of Environmental Economics, OSU The Economics of Adapting to Climate Change.
There also will be a panel discussion on Extreme Weather Effects.
Early registration cost is $25 for chapter members and closes Jan. 25. Nonmember and late registration is $35, and student cost is $10.
