Are you just beginning in small scale agriculture? Or, are you a specialty crop grower who wants to expand? Maybe you want to understand the resources out there to help you begin right, or to improve what you’ve been doing, from the ground up. Then this FREE workshop is for you!

The Shekinah Farms and Agriculture Learning Center is hosting this first annual event, featuring a number of expert presenters from a variety of organizations. Subjects will cover details and benefits of topics such as organic farming and where to access funding, how to build rain gardens and what benefits they provide to the land owner, watersheds, aquaculture and much more! In addition to speakers from the Montgomery Soil & Water Conservation District, the Natural Resources Conservation Service, an expert on Organic Food Production, and the Ohio Department of Agriculture, Food Safety & Cottage Foods, you will hear from the Director of Shekinah Farms on their agricultural practices. Shekinah Farms houses a number of agriculture practices including aquaculture, (growing tilapia, catfish and perch), aquaponic vegetable production, maple syrup, medicinal herbs, composting and more! Tilapia production and naturally grown vegetables are among their favorites.
