You may not know much about Christmas tree farms other than where you buy one, but a lot goes into that perfect tree.

Tree sales each holiday season generate more than $2 million toward Ohio’s economy. When you think about the time it takes to grow an average Christmas tree to maturity (seven years) vs. growing time for typical foods we eat (60-90 days), it makes the work that tree farmers do all that more enduring and gratifying.

Dave Reese of the Ohio Christmas Tree Association (OCTA), will address these topics and more, hosted by the Center for Innovative Food Technology (CIFT) at the Agricultural Incubator Foundation.

Arrive early, as breakfast and informal networking will start at 8 a.m., with the program to follow.

The cost is just $10 per person (cash or check at the door) which includes breakfast and networking opportunities.

The Northwest Ohio Ag-Business Breakfast Forum is an educational networking opportunity to provide information on current issues, trends and programs available to the agricultural community and those who support its advancement.

The Agricultural Incubator Foundation is located on the south side of St. Rt. 582. Walk-ins are welcome, but guests are encouraged to reserve a seat in advance by contacting [email protected]
