Discussing how agriculture plays a role in Toledo’s ranking in the top 50 U.S. ports will be Joe Cappel, vice president of business development, Toledo-Lucas County Port Authority, at the monthly Northwest Ohio Ag-Business Breakfast Forum, hosted by the Center for Innovative Food Technology (CIFT) at the Agricultural Incubator Foundation.

With more than 43 percent of the U.S. and Canadian markets located within 500 miles, Toledo is a prime location for national and international trade and commerce. The Port of Toledo is ranked ahead of larger markets like Buffalo, Milwaukee, St. Paul, San Diego, San Francisco, and Anchorage. Cappel is responsible for working with existing and potential business partners in developing and expanding business opportunities in the Toledo region.

The cost is just $10 per person (cash or check at the door) which includes breakfast and networking

The Northwest Ohio Ag-Business Breakfast Forum is an educational networking opportunity to provide information on current issues, trends and programs available to the agricultural community and those who support its advancement.
